Las nominaciones a los Oscar 2024 fueron anunciados con “Oppenheimer” liderando el grupo con 13 nominaciones seguidas por “Poor Things” con 11. La 96ª edición anual de los Premios de la Academia sigue a un año en el que se vio el fenómeno “Barbenheimer” de “Barbie” y Christopher Nolan. La épica película biográfica de la Segunda Guerra Mundial llena las salas de cine de todo el mundo y cada una recauda cientos de millones de dólares en taquilla.
El anuncio de las nominaciones no estuvo exento de sorpresas, ya que Greta Gerwig no fue nominada a mejor directora por “Barbie” (ella y Noah Baumbach fueron nominadas por el guión adaptado de la película) ni ninguna nominación de actuación para la estrella Margot Robbie, quien también fue productora de la nominada a mejor película. (“Decir que estoy decepcionado de que no estén nominados en sus respectivas categorías sería quedarse corto”, dijo Ryan Gosling, quien fue nominado por su papel de Ken). El ex ganador del Oscar Leonardo DiCaprio, quien protagonizó “Killers of the Flower Moon”, tampoco recibió un reconocimiento actoral este año.
Mientras tanto, la coprotagonista de DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, se convirtió en la primera nativa americana en ser nominada a mejor actriz. America Ferrera obtuvo una nominación a mejor actriz de reparto por su actuación en “Barbie” después de no ser nominada a un Globo de Oro, y Justine Triet se convirtió en la octava mujer nominada a mejor directora por “Anatomía de una caída”.
La ceremonia de premiación de la 96ª edición de los Premios de la Academia se llevará a cabo el domingo 10 de marzo desde las 20:00 (hora de Paraguay) en el Dolby Theatre de Hollywood, Los Ángeles, California.
